Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using TreatJar, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

TreatJar is a family chore and rewards management app that helps parents track children's contributions (stars) and earnings (money). The app is intended for use by parents/guardians with their children ages 3-12.

3. Account Responsibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
You are responsible for all activity under your account
Child profiles are managed by the parent account holder

4. Subscriptions & Billing

TreatJar offers a 7-day free trial, after which a paid subscription is required
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings

5. Amazon Integration

TreatJar may include links to products on Amazon.com. These are affiliate links through the Amazon Associates program. TreatJar earns a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. Amazon purchases are subject to Amazon's own terms and conditions.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in TreatJar (family names, job descriptions, reward names, etc.). By using the service, you grant TreatJar a limited license to store and display this content to provide the service.

7. Prohibited Uses

Do not use TreatJar for any unlawful purpose
Do not attempt to access other users' data
Do not interfere with the service's operation

8. Disclaimer

TreatJar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While our content references published research, TreatJar is not a substitute for professional parenting advice, child psychology services, or financial planning.

9. Limitation of Liability

TreatJar's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding any claim. TreatJar is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
