Open TreatJar, create a parent account, then add a child profile with a first name and age tier. You can add as many children as you need. Stars work from age 3; the money-for-jobs side engages from around age 6–7.
From the parent dashboard, tap "Add job" to create a paid job with a set pay rate, or "Add star category" to create something you want to recognize (kindness, effort, helping out). You can edit these any time.
From the kid view, kids see the family store: rewards you've built together. Stars unlock experiences, privileges, or treats you've set. Money earned from jobs can be spent on items you've pre-approved or saved toward a goal.
TreatJar is $4.99/month or $39.99/year (a third off the monthly rate) with a 7-day free trial. Manage, pause, or cancel your subscription any time from iOS Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions. We don't have hidden upsells. It's one app, one price.
From the app: Profile > Preferences > Export My Data for a JSON export of your family's data, or Profile > Delete Account to delete everything. Deletion has a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel. After 30 days, all data is permanently removed.
From Profile > Family Members, invite someone by email. They'll receive a link and can join your family with their own parent-level access. You can remove them any time.
TreatJar needs an internet connection to sync between devices, but most actions work offline and sync the next time you're online.
No. TreatJar does not display ads and we don't use your family's data for targeted advertising, ever.
